How data is handled
Upon making a purchase through this site, all of your provided personal information will be stored for internal use, and shared with Shopify in order to facilitate the purchase. Please see Shopify’s Privacy Policy, located at https://www.shopify.com/hk-en/legal/privacy for more information.
Personal information stored for internal use will not be used for any purpose other than that required to conduct our business and ship our products.
If you request a password reset to the site, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Blog Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string in order to detect and prevent spam.
When posting a comment, an anonymised string created from the commenter’s email address (also called a hash) may be provided to Gravatar to identify whether its service is being used. Please see the Gravatar service privacy policy, located at https://automattic.com/privacy/ for more information.
Once a comment has been approved, the commenter’s profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of the comment.
Media
Users should avoid uploading images including embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors to the website could download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
Upon leaving a comment on our site, commenters may opt-in to save their name, email address and website in cookies. The opt-in is for user convenience, so that details will not need to be filled in again when leaving another comment in the future. These cookies will last for one year.
When visiting the login page, a temporary cookie will be set in order to determine if the browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when the browser closes.
When logging in, several cookies will be set up to save login information and screen display choices. Login cookies will last for two days, and screen display choice cookies will last for a year. If “Remember Me” is selected, the login will persist for two weeks. The login cookies will be removed upon logout.
Editing or publishing an article will cause an additional cookie to be saved in the user’s browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These other websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account with and/or are logged in to that website.
Duration of Data Retention
Once a comment has been submitted, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is in order to recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on the site, the personal information provided in user profiles will be stored. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, however, usernames cannot be changed. Website administrators can also see and edit this information.
Data retained as a result of purchases made through the site will be retained indefinitely. This data can be deleted upon written request.
